Here is a short clip that demonstrates the depth of field capabilities with a 50mm 1.2 L lens from Canon, this quiet expensive piece of equipment can be a quite versatile addition to the traditional lens setup. While it is definitely not a "all round" lens and more for some sophisticated special assignments this kind of lenses can create some great effects.
